Interpreting Blocked Visitor Data

High Block Counts from One Country

If you see a large number of blocks from a single country, this usually indicates bot traffic or scraping attempts originating from that region. Consider enabling VPN blocking and bot blocking alongside country blocking for better protection.

Blocks from Unexpected Countries

If you are using whitelist mode and see blocks from countries you expect to allow, verify that the country is correctly added to your whitelist in the Location Blocker.

Blocked Visitors Still in Shopify Analytics

Blocked visitors still appear in Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics because the session is recorded before the block takes effect. See How Blocking Works for a full explanation.
