Plan Showing as Free After Payment

If you subscribed to a Pro plan but your dashboard shows the Free plan:

The Subscription Was Cancelled or Reset

If a subscription is cancelled (intentionally or due to a payment issue), the system automatically resets your account to the Free plan. This can happen if:

  • You cancelled the subscription from Shopify admin.
  • A payment method failed or was removed.
  • The app was uninstalled and reinstalled.

Fix: Go to the Plans page in Kedra Shield and resubscribe. Your previous settings are preserved — only the plan tier and associated limits are reset.

The Subscription Did Not Complete

When subscribing, Shopify redirects you to a confirmation page to authorize the charge. If this step was not completed, the subscription is not activated.

Fix: Go to the Plans page, choose your plan, and complete the Shopify checkout process.

Pricing Differs from What I Expected

Kedra Shield pricing is based on your Shopify store’s subscription plan, not a fixed price. Different Shopify plan tiers have different pricing:

If you see a different price than expected, it is likely because your Shopify store is on a different plan tier than the one shown in marketing materials. The Shopify App Store listing typically displays the lowest tier pricing.

Monthly vs Annual Billing

Both billing options are available on the Plans page:

  • Monthly — Billed every 30 days through Shopify.
  • Annual — Billed once per year through Shopify, at a discounted rate.

Both options include a 3-day free trial.

How to Cancel

You can cancel your Pro subscription by:

  • From the app: Go to the Plans page and click the Downgrade to Free button on the Free plan card. A confirmation modal appears — click Continue to confirm the downgrade.
  • By uninstalling: Removing the app from Shopify admin automatically cancels the subscription and stops all charges.

Cancelling resets certain Pro features including auto-block fraud IPs and fraud score threshold settings.
