How Many Rules Can I Create?

There is currently no limit on the number of rules you can create. You can create as many rules as you need across all rule types — hide, rename, reorder, discount, and validation.

How Rules Are Organized Internally

Behind the scenes, the app organizes rules into sets to work within Shopify’s technical constraints. Each rule is automatically assigned to a set based on the conditions it uses. You don’t need to manage this — the app handles it for you.

The available sets per rule type:

Rule TypeNumber of Sets
Checkout validation5
Payment rules (hide/rename/reorder)3
Shipping rules (hide/rename/reorder)3
Shipping discount3

What Does This Mean in Practice?

Each set can hold many rules. However, certain combinations of conditions may be limited to specific sets. If you create rules with very complex or specific condition combinations, the app routes them to compatible sets.

In rare cases, if all compatible sets are fully utilized by other rules with conflicting condition requirements, the app may not be able to accommodate a new rule with that specific condition combination. This is an edge case that most merchants will never encounter.

Will Limits Change in the Future?

When paid plans are introduced in the future, rule limits may apply to new users. However, all features and rules you are currently using will remain fully available to you at no charge. See Pricing & Plans.
