Custom Discount Name at Checkout

When you create a shipping discount rule, you can set a custom Discount label that customers see at checkout next to the discounted shipping price.

How to Set It

  1. Open your shipping discount rule (or create a new one).
  2. In the Discount settings section, find the Discount label field.
  3. Enter the name you want customers to see (e.g., “FREESHIPPING”, “Summer Sale”, “VIP Discount”).
  4. Click Save.

The label appears at checkout alongside the discounted shipping rate.

Tips for Good Discount Labels

  • Keep it short and recognizable — customers should immediately understand what the discount is.
  • Match your marketing — if your campaign says “FREE SHIPPING”, use the same text as the discount label.
  • Avoid technical names — use customer-friendly language, not internal rule names.

Good examples: “Free Shipping”, “FREESHIPPING”, “Holiday Discount”, “VIP Shipping”

Avoid: “Rule_123”, “test discount”, “shipping_disc_1”

Good to Know

  • The discount label field is only shown for discount types that need it. When you select “All shipping free,” the label field is not shown — no label is needed since all shipping becomes free.
  • Customers see this label at checkout — it’s different from the internal Rule name field, which only you see.
  • You can change the discount label at any time by editing the rule and saving.
