Custom Discount Name at Checkout
When you create a shipping discount rule, you can set a custom Discount label that customers see at checkout next to the discounted shipping price.
How to Set It
- Open your shipping discount rule (or create a new one).
- In the Discount settings section, find the Discount label field.
- Enter the name you want customers to see (e.g., “FREESHIPPING”, “Summer Sale”, “VIP Discount”).
- Click Save.
The label appears at checkout alongside the discounted shipping rate.
Tips for Good Discount Labels
- Keep it short and recognizable — customers should immediately understand what the discount is.
- Match your marketing — if your campaign says “FREE SHIPPING”, use the same text as the discount label.
- Avoid technical names — use customer-friendly language, not internal rule names.
Good examples: “Free Shipping”, “FREESHIPPING”, “Holiday Discount”, “VIP Shipping”
Avoid: “Rule_123”, “test discount”, “shipping_disc_1”
Good to Know
- The discount label field is only shown for discount types that need it. When you select “All shipping free,” the label field is not shown — no label is needed since all shipping becomes free.
- Customers see this label at checkout — it’s different from the internal Rule name field, which only you see.
- You can change the discount label at any time by editing the rule and saving.
